It’s the end of the year and the end of the road for ATL CHEAP DATE.
In December of 2018, I quit a job that was all-consuming and unfulfilling and shifted more energy into creative pursuits in an attempt to find my calling and my people. This website was one of these pursuits, and while I never thought ATL CHEAP DATE was THE thing, I thought it would help lead me to the thing(s) I was meant to do and the people who would appreciate my creative vision.
Five years later, I am proud that I was able to take ideas out of my head and turn them into content that I could share with other people. However, a lot has changed - both in me and around me, and I no longer feel inspired to maintain this platform. Although I hope I never lose my sense of whimsy or my appreciation for a cheap thrill, this will be the last update to the ATL CHEAP DATE website.

This was a pretty chill read — it got to the point fast and didn’t make me feel like I had to pause every other line to “decode” it. I liked how it explained the reasoning behind the suggestions instead of just tossing out a checklist. Halfway through I clicked around on newimage.io out of curiosity, and it gave me the same kind of straightforward, practical vibe without trying too hard. What helped most was how the examples felt like stuff you’d actually run into, not made-up scenarios. Also, the writing flow was easy on the eyes, so I could skim and still catch the important bits.
